Are you a former Jehovah's Witness, a current JW who no longer believes, or an unbelieving family member or friend of a Jehovah's Witness?
You are NOT alone.
Let's meet up and share our experiences, both of coping with the effects of being a member of and/or leaving the JW organization, and of our efforts to build a post-JW life. Ultimately, let's make new friends, have fun, and enjoy one another's company.
The vast majority of our meetups will occur in public places throughout Fresno. If you have any questions regarding the group please feel free to contact the organizer through meetup.
Note - If you are in the process of fading [becoming inactive] and are concerned about having your identity revealed by joining, you can sign up using a fake name. The email address you must enter to register for Meetup is not viewable by anyone and is only for Meetup to send automated notifications and updates to [which you can turn off in your settings]. Also, no one outside of the group can see who is in the group or the details and RSVP list for our events.
Important Notice - Discrimination of any sort is not tolerated in the group. This meetup is belief-neutral. This is not the place to try and "convert" people to other beliefs, non-belief, or to promote a personal or business interest. However free thought, discourse, and respectful debate are welcome and encouraged. We may discuss our differences (and agree to disagree) but we never belittle another member's thoughts and /or choices.
