Intro Level Rust Get-together
Details
This is an introductory-level Rust get-together.
There is not yet a set topic for the October meeting. Instead, it will be completely attendee driven. Like with AI, if you ask questions, you'll get answers. Some of the answers may be useful.
This is likely to be the last Rust Get-together in 2025, since they have been fairly sparsely attended and the fourth Wednesday in November is the day before Thanksgiving and the fourth Wednesday in December is the day before Christmas. Additionally, Cliff has allowed himself to be overwhelmed by caretaking and founder duties and has not been able to properly bootstrap this get-together.
In 2026, if there is a demand for a Rust Get-together, it'll probably happen, preferably with more planning and organization by people other than Jamii and Cliff.
Pizza and beverages will be provided.
The host and speaker for this event is Cliff Matthews:
Cliff Matthews (aka Lazy Young Deadhead) has been programming a long time. He lost his memory in a poker game and consequently relies on Rust to have his back (since he can't remember large codebases ... or anything).
