Board Games at Outpost Langford

I am inviting you all to Friday night board games at the Outpost Board Game Cafe in Langford.

We are going to be using a group size of 22 people. You are welcome to use the waiting list if more than 22 people RSVP. Sometimes, people who RSVP do not show up or cancel at the last minute, so feel free to come if you are on the waiting list.

When you arrive please ask for the Langford Gamer Group.

I am hosting a second game of Kubb if anyone would like to join. It’s an easy-to-play (and easy-to-learn) lawn game from Scandinavia where you try to knock down your opponent’s blocks (called “Kubbs”) with some batons before knocking down the “king block”. If you can play lawn bowling, bocce ball, or cornhole, you can play this! Anywhere from 2 to 12 persons can participate.

We’ll be at Westhills Park this time because I think the treeline can give us some shade and the lawn is flat and well taken care of. And it’s often not too busy. If it looks like rain the day before or morning of, I may cancel and move to another day, but will make an announcement.

This Meetup has become quite popular. I have decided to add an additional time when we can meet at the Outpost Board Game Cafe. I have thought about the best time to do a Saturday meetup and I have chosen the 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. time that we have been doing on Fridays. I hope this time on Saturday works for most people. Since the weather is becoming more rainy and cool, I think this meetup will be quite popular. I will set the Saturday Night Board Games meetup to repeat until March 21, 2026. Bringing your own games is always a good idea.
