Century-old Stone House – Mess Hall Opening Day, Guided Tour at Sunset Peak

• Date & Time: Saturday, December 26, 2025 – Meet in Tung Chung at 12:45 PM; 1-hour return transportation. 3.5-hour hike, 1-hour tea time, 0.5hour exploring around ; return to Tung Chung by around 1830 PM
• Meeting Point & Venue: Start at Pak Kung Au trailhead near Tung Chung (exact details shared after RSVP); hike to the stone houses (Lantau Mountain Camp) on Sunset Peak
• • Cost: HK$190 per person including guided tour, tea/ coffee, snacks, visiting mess hall with kitchen, a few stone houses inside.

• Optional: extra pay-as-you-like to support the Volunteer Unit's preservation efforts

• • Highlights: 4-hour moderate (6/10 difficulty) hike, about 8km round trip through silvergrass slopes to the 1920s stone cabins; guided stories on their missionary origins and survival through typhoons; 1-hour tea break: listening to story while enjoying boiling hot tea from the water source of the mountain and snacks; group photos and mingling. Exploring heaven lake.
• Asking for help: highly appreciate if you could help to carry the supplies or materials for fixing the stone houses and public water tank.
• Vibe: suitable for moderate fitness levels; bring water, comfortable shoes, and layers for mountain weather
