Join me at BOAT (Brighton Open Air Theatre) for a real August Bank Holiday special!! My old faves, South Coast Soul Revue, are re-uniting for one afternoon only. Come along to dance 'til you drop - or just sit around in the sun and soak up those dancey soul vibes!
It starts at 2 pm, but get there from 1 pm to meet up. Bring a picnic and we'll meet in the queue to bag a decent spot - and please - BRING A CUSHION!!! - those seat steps are hard!!
PS you'll also need sunscreen and a hat - it'll be hot (but not as hot as it's been, so ideal for dancing!!).
And bring some loose change for the collection - BOAT receives no funding.

For those who haven't been to the BLT before, here are some more detailed directions - PLEASE DON'T TRUST GOOGLEMAPS TO FIND IT!!!. From Western Road, immediately opposite Primark, turn into Clarence Gardens, which leads into Clarence Square. With Flight Centre to your left, walk closely past the Cauldron pub on your right, and at the end of the pub, go down 2 steps into a little alley-way past 5 or 6 houses on your right and through a little gate at the end, into a small square yard. The door to the theatre is straight ahead of you. Walk in, up a couple of steps and down some steps into the bar, where you pick up your tickets - and we'll all be waiting for you! Phew!
