Friendly Brighton 45+

This looks like a pretty good Aretha Franklin tribute, from the "Simply Dan" people, a collective of professional musicians who "do" Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac and quite a few other bands. I've been hearing good things about this one - there's a 9-piece band - so bound to be a terrific brass section!
It's billed as standing/seated, so I reckon we need to get there for 7.30 to get seats if you don't want to stand all night! Show starts at 8 pm.

The Bell Tower brings a modern take on a traditional boozer, with great local beers & wines along with the great food that Daddy Longlegs was renowned for so I thought let's try their Sunday Lunch. This is our 'regular' quiz night at The Railway, Portslade. I'm planning to book a table of 6 most weeks as long as there's enough interest. If the quiz is showing as full, put your name on the waitlist - and don't forget to include your phone number when you RSVP, in case it's last-minute!

Well, we've been running in the middle of the list for the past few weeks - let's see if we can go for those sparkly prizes this week! We should be on our usual table, 26.

The food at this pub is terrific - and not expensive! They have 2-4-1 nachos , 12 flavours of gelato - need I go on! So I recommend arriving early (about 7.15) - and hungry!!! Quiz starts at 8 pm, and ends by 10.15.

BUT NB I CAN ONLY BOOK A TABLE FOR THESE QUIZZES ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE, SO THEY'RE NEVER CONFIRMED UNTIL I GET THE TABLE!!

In order to claim our full table, we need to arrive between 7.15 and 7.30. Please bring scrap paper, a pen and £3 CASH for the quiz (and maybe a small torch that's not attached to your phone - lighting's sometimes a bit sparse!).
