Brighton Fringe: The Labours of Hercules

Details
A bunch of us went to the Fringe preview show on 23rd April - and this was truly the stand-out highlight! We discovered the Ropetackle Storytellers a few months ago - they run an amazing evening on the 2nd Monday of every month (except this month, cos they're busy doing their 2 shows for the Brighton Fringe! - both are 16-18 May)
PS I've booked the other one too! - on Fri 16th, but you can see it immediately before this one if you prefer.
Anyway, in the sampler, he only did ONE Labour and we were exhausted after that! The full show has TWELVE, so thank goodness they have lovely refreshments for sale, including, I believe, home-made cake! - fingers crossed!
The venue is a house in a residential area, so parking is plentiful - who knows, it may even be free on Sundays...? And plenty of buses, it's just off Freshfield Road and is close to Queens Park Road.
(BTW you may want to pair up with someone and become a Friend to get 2-4-1s throughout the Fringe.)
Tickets are £10/£8 and are on the 2-4-1 for Friends.

"The Hercules story Disney didn't have the guts to tell! Placed under a curse by Hera, queen of the gods, the hero Hercules must perform twelve impossible tasks to gain his freedom. Master storyteller Joshua Crisp brings his dynamic storytelling style and gallery of impressions to create the entire cast of this epic myth himself, filled with unbelievable monsters, superhuman feats, and enough property destruction to rival a Michael Bay movie.
Co-founder of the Ropetackle Storytellers club, Joshua Crisp has been a rising star on the storytelling scene, recently telling at the Get A Word in Edgeways Spoken Word Festival and Green Gathering. He is a mentor for the Step Up Spoken Word Commission, and shares original stories on the podcast 100 Words of Astounding Beauty."
