This spy thriller looks like a real humdinger - I love this type of 'domestic' setting where there are 'sleeper' spies planted amongst a normal suburban setting!!

Meet in the cosy bar from 7 pm, so we have time for a natter and a drink - they also (usually!) have tea/coffee - and cake! Play starts at 7.30.

I've booked ticket N5 (£12) in the raised stalls - book your own ticket at:-

and NB I'll be collecting £2 Meetup fee from all attendees (contactless), or just pay £10 (also contactless) for the year.

"Pack of Lies
by Hugh Whitemore
Directed by Suse Crosby
The Jacksons are a normal, suburban family, honest, open and truthful. One evening they are consulted by the Police about having someone in their house for the weekend as a lookout, to watch the street for a possible courier connection to a Russian spy. As the weekend turns into weeks, slowly but steadily they find themselves drawn into the murky world of deceptions and secrets, forcing them to lie to everyone, including their best friends: their neighbours Helen and Peter Kroger; who may or may not be involved…
This is the early 1960s and the world is in the grip of the Cold War, yet while suspicions abound, it’s difficult to imagine it happening under our noses in Britain. More shocking then, is that Hugh Whitemore’s play is based on a true story... This is a compelling and gripping story about best friends and family forced to keep secrets from each other: a spy story about real people stuck in lies and betrayal."
