The past few years have been quite a ride for Nothing But Thieves. Amassing over 700,000 album sales and 750million streams so far, they have built up a loyal and wide following for their impactful alternative-rock sound, cementing themselves as one of the best current rock bands in the world.
Originating in Southend-on-Sea in Essex, Nothing But Thieves make passionate guitar-based rock that balances indie rock artfulness with a pop sensibility. Formed in 2012, the band features singer Conor Mason, guitarist Joe Langridge-Brown, guitarist Dominic Craik, bassist Philip Blake, and drummer James Price.
Where did the name 'Nothing But Thieves' come from?
Joe: There's a quote and it said, 'Don't be impressionable, your religious leaders are nothing but mega thieves. ' I don't think mega thieves is a very good band name, but thought Nothing But Thieves is a good band name so there you go.
