Please note: This description contains a few warnings, so please read through to the end.

It gives me great pleasure to set the date for a 7-mile walk up and around the S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G Edge Hill and it's peaceful surrounding countryside.

This is the second of three superb remote walks proposed (and guided) by Lisa, which will get you outdoors like never before, and open your eyes to the amazing world of nature around us!

We tested this fantastic route on Thursday evening, during which I snapped the photo above). Even though I enjoyed our 7-mile trek around Kineton in July a lot - with its feeling of being so far away from civilisation - amazingly this route takes us even further into the charming countryside, along remote public pathways far away from the hustle-bustle of daily life.

At several points along the winding and undulating route I stopped to take in the huge picturesque views all around me.. the sound of silence - broken only by the wind in the trees, the tweeting of distant birds, or of a startled deer or two scampering the full width of an open field and into the safety of the woodland.

For outstanding views and jaw-dropping settings I would go as far as to say that this experience even surpasses the amazing Malvern Hills walk that we did in June - which takes some beating!

IMPORTANT WARNING: Despite the breath-taking views and peaceful natural beauty for the full length of the route, please be warned that this event is not for the faint-hearted. i.e. You should not sign up if you have any recurring injuries that could flare up, or you do not have a good level of stamina for physical and enduring exercise.

Of course as per our test walk, we will take opportunities to stop and take breaks, however there are some very long and challenging hills and due to the relatively undisturbed nature of the pathways, more than half of the route requires dragging your feet through long grass.

This made me feel like we had covered much more distance (than the actual 7 miles) by the time we reached the end.

Please note also that dogs are not allowed to attend this walk.

I really hope you qualify to attend. Notwithstanding the warm and sociable Friendly Faces group members (first-timers and regulars) that you will share this experience with - this is a truly magnificent walking route, and in a few months time you will look back on it and smile as you think back to it.

Put your name down now to be kept in the loop, and so you dont forget.

Notes:

- The weather forecast looks sunny and warm, but perhaps best to pack a thin waterproof jacket just in case.

- Despite the warm weather, wear trousers not shorts (so you dont get stung by nettles) and wear walking shoes if you have them.
