What we’re about
FWF-GNY is a network to promote women's research collaboration and career advancement in the Greater New York (GNY) finance academia. We host a finance symposium providing opportunities to meet other women or supporters in academic finance and to share and develop early research ideas.
The target participants are finance female academics and other finance researchers who support finance women or conduct scholarly research on topics related to gender equality from the GNY universities and research institutions.
We acknowledge the initial financial support from the Academic Female Finance Committee of the American Finance Association (AFFECT).

The symposium supports the research and networking of women supporters in GNY finance academia. This special session fosters collaboration between financial academia and industry practitioners on AI-related research. We are delighted to announce that the Summer 2024 Symposium will be held on June 6, 2024, at Pace University in New York City.
We invite submissions of completed papers or long abstracts that incorporate AI/ML methods in any area of finance including corporate finance and governance, investments, financial markets and institutions, climate and sustainable finance, social and behavioral finance, and other topics. We expect to hold two formal paper presentations followed by a panel discussion and a few break-out sessions. Breakout sessions are a unique aspect of this symposium and are designed to foster extensive interaction for feedback among the session chair and presenters. The event will conclude with a networking reception. We hope all participants will benefit from the interaction and networking opportunities offered by this professional gathering.
