LABOR DAY AT BLACK'S BEACH

Details

Black's Beach is a great place to be on Labor Day. We have also found that traffic appears to be lighter on National Holidays.
All SCNA, NitOC, Camping Bares, IENC and ODR friends are invited to join us.
Bring a positive attitude and join us for a fun day playing in the surf, sun tanning, swimming, playing Frisbee, soccer, paddle, building sandcastles, etc. This is a family friendly event but the beach is wide and long enough for everyone to have plenty of space on the sand, with or without children. For those that have never been to Blacks, it is a nice wide beach with very fine sand (when the tide is not too high)!
We recommend you take the trail at the south end of the Glider Port parking. It has around three hundred steps of a variety of sizes to get down to the beach which is about 300 ft below the parking lot. Parking is free on a first come firs parked basis.
When the trail meets the beach turn right and walk down for about 200 yards past all three volleyball courts. We set up our banners generally between the last volleyball court and only palm tree against the cliff. If available we will go in front of the 2nd American flag mast.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
