Weed Pull: Kochia Mitigation along Coal Creek
Details
Kochia, also called tumbleweed, is an aggressive invasive plant that has grown unchecked along many areas of the West. So now we're going to check its growth along the creek. Join us for a couple hours of raking up last year's dead kochia and making space for the City of Lafayette Open Space to re-seed native plants in the area.
We will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Public Road trailhead and work for about 2 hours.
You'll need:
[] Sun hat/layers for weather
[] Bottle of water
[] Work gloves
[] Long sleeves are a good idea (kochia is scratchy)
