What we’re about
The Friends support the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge through conservation on the Refuge and in the community. Our activities complement the work of the federal Fish and Wildlife program by focusing on the work that the federal side of the Refuge can’t do; Fund-Raising, Friend-Raising, and Advocacy.

End of Year Giving
Our goal is to raise $2,500 by the end of 2025. Will you make a tax-deductible gift before December 31 to power this work? A gift of $35 can help support the winter bird feeding program, $75 can provide supplies for community cleanup and garden projects, $150 can cover lunch for our Youth Advisory Group, or $500 can create fresh, engaging activities for our Visitor Center Kids Space.
