Friends of Get Outdoors FREE Social & Charity Walks

A lovely wander aroundthe grounds of the historical Blenheim Palace. Approximately 7 miles starting in the pretty town of Woodstock and taking in views of the house, lakes and even a filming location for Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix.

The route: This is a circular walk starting from the busy market town of Winslow. To begin we follow the new East West railway line out across the fields to Addington. We walk through the beautiful village of Addington with its manor and equestrian centre. We then walk on through the villages of Verney Junction and East Claydon. At the half way point we will stop at the National Trust estate of Claydon House. You can explore lots of the estate without being a member. Membership is only needed to tour the house. There is a cafe here that will be open for snacks and drinks or we can bring packed lunches to eat within the grounds.
We then make our way back through the countryside to Winslow.
