York Stream canoe clean up Maidenhead

Help us clear the litter from York Stream in Maidenhead.

Waterways should be clean places for wildlife to thrive and for people to enjoy, either walking on the banks or canoeing on the water.

We will have two teams, one in canoes and kayaks on the water and one on the banks pulling rubbish from the water.

Maidenhead Canoe Club will be on the water with litter grabbers. We will also need a team on the banks with rakes to take out bottles, cans and plastic.

We will provide litter grabbers, bags, gloves and rakes. Wear suitable clothing including sturdy footwear and rain clothes if the forecast is wet. We will also provide refreshments.

Meet 0930 at the quayside by Daisy the Alligator statue under Bombay Story restaurant The Colonnade, Waterside Quarter, Maidenhead SL6 1QG for a team briefing before we begin.
