## Meeting Place: Visitor Center Parking Lot

This week we are going to replace some of protective fencing in the new native plant garden with something more secure and hopefully impregnable. We'll also wash the funk out our rain barrel and reposition it somewhere so that it actually captures rainwater. :)

In general, we typically work in the park managing the gardens, installing new plants, transplanting and weeding to keep the park looking good and healthy. No experience required. Bring your favorite garden tools, kneeling pad and gloves. You may also want to bring water and a light snack. As you accumulate volunteer hours it will allow you to earn a state-wide park pass and other rewards.
