## Meeting Place: Visitor Center Parking Lot

We will be prepping the last northernmost part of the large native plant garden for fall planting. As the park will be clearing off the top layer of sand and gravel earlier in the week, we will follow by spreading fresh soil/compost, cardboard and mulch. Meet at the most northern part of the parking lot.

In general, we typically work in the park managing the gardens, installing new plants, transplanting and weeding to keep the park looking good and healthy. No experience required. Bring your favorite garden tools, kneeling pad and gloves. You may also want to bring water and a light snack. As you accumulate volunteer hours it will allow you to earn a state-wide park pass and other rewards.
Come and help us knowing your efforts will enhance Pocahontas State Park today and for generations to come.
