PVSC Picnic and Meeting

PVSC is holding its annual picnic and General meeting at the Three Fox Vineyards and Distillery, 10100 Three Fox Ln, Delaplane, VA, Saturday, September 6, from noon to 3:00 pm. All Samoyed owners and their dogs are welcome to join us. Please leave girls in season at home.

We have reserved the canopy in The Meadow near the historic Crooked Creek. Dogs must be on leash except when being supervised playing.

Bring a towel if you plan to let your dog play in the creek. I also recommend you bring your dog’s own water bucket or bowl. PVSC will provide bottled water at no charge.

The club will provide non-alcoholic beverages and lunch (fried chicken, sides, salad, chips, watermelon and dessert) at no cost to attendees. Feel free to add an item to the table if you wish. Individuals can purchase wines, hard ciders, and other alcoholic beverages from the vineyard. No outside alcoholic beverages can be brought onto the property.

We will have a short meeting to vote in new members and discuss upcoming events. There will be a presentation and demonstration by Doug Kurucz, NoVA Dog Sports, on skills and games you can teach your dog to liven up your dog’s playtime. He will also provide information on a new national organization, UpDog, that sanctions trials and awards titles for different skills demonstrated in their trials. Owners and their dogs will have the opportunity to try some of these games.

Our lunch and meeting will officially end by 3:00 pm but everyone is welcome to stay, socialize, and play with your dogs.

Please notify me if you are coming and how many will be in your party. You are welcome to bring guests.
