Join Hemlock Restoration Initiative in Stone Mountain State Park near Roaring Gap, NC for a Hemlock Treatment Volunteer Workday on Saturday, December 6th, from 9:30am to 3:30pm

Help us protect Stone Mountain State Park’s hemlocks from HWA in the Stone Mountain Creek area! Volunteers will be moving through the forest off-trail applying insecticide to individual hemlocks for HWA control. Our workday site will have a mix of flatter and steeper terrain, great for accommodating those who want a more gentle experience and those who are excited to do some scrambling on slopes!

Please note, volunteers will be working with insecticide. Every volunteer will be paired with a trained HRI team member who will provide instruction and guidance.

Registration is required. To register, fill out this form Hemlock Treatment Volunteer Workday in Stone Mountain State Park by Wednesday, December 3rd. More details about the meeting location and what to bring will be provided after registration.

Note: Since we will be working with insecticide, children under 18 and pets are not permitted at this event.
