The raw reality and horror of war is on the geopolitical horizon and on our Netflix screens (‘All Quiet on the Western Front’).

In this challenging and perplexing time, we propose an inspiring discussion on those ever present elements of humanity and kindness, even in war.

Friends of TED is a group for people that enjoy respectful discussions on thought-provoking topics and themes - scientific and spiritual, emotional and uplifting, terrifying and eye-opening. The kind of topics that are often highlighted in TED talks.

We are not affiliated with the TED organisation, but we have their consent for this group.

Respectful discussions means listening and appreciating the points of view presented, and not just opposing, but adding to the discussion with more throughts. It means sharing ideas, meeting interesting people, and going home with a richer perspective.

For each session we will propose a topic(s). There is no one speaker at the event - you are the listeners and speakers!
