The Border Route Trail Association Lake Harriet Urban Night Hike & Pizza Party – Saturday, April 2nd

Lake Harriet Urban Night Hike: We’ll leave at 6:00PM sharp from my house at 3701 Pillsbury Ave So., Mpls for the 5 ¾ mile hike around Lake Harriet and back. If you’re late, we’ll be hiking counterclockwise around the lake and you could catch us by the rose gardens at Roseway Rd & East Lake Harriet Blvd on the NE corner of the lake. If you are in need of directions, just go to Google Maps and type in my address. Feel free to arrive anytime after 5:30.

Spring Kick-off Get Acquainted Pizza Party: The Pizza Party will start at approximately 8:00PM when we return from the hike. Someone will be home to let you in just in case the hike is running late.

We’re encouraging people to be creative with their pizzas and salads. Forget Domino’s and think Crema Café or Punch. You’ll be responsible for bringing your favorite pizza toppings, salads, or desserts to share plus your personal beverage of choice. We’ll furnish regular relatively thin pizza Buon Giorno pizza crusts and Vicolo cornmeal crusts to form a base for your talents.

In appreciation of the efforts of the gourmet cooks we’ll be presenting a bottle of Argentine wine for the pizza judged to be the most creative.

There will be no charge for those that are signed up for a Spring BRT Maintenance trip. A donation to the BRTA of $2.00 is requested from all others. (If by any chance you feel that the $2.00 is inappropriate, you are welcome to bring your own crust and to help with the after party cleanup.) Everyone will be eligible to enter their name in a drawing for a $40 off coupon for any of the Spring BRT Maintenance trips.

Please RSVP via the BRT Meetup site (https://www.meetup.com/The-Border-Route-Trail-Meetup-Group/) or send an email to esolstad@pressenter.com.

If you have questions, feel free to get in touch via email or give us a call at 612-822-0569 after Sat., 3/19.

Hope to see you at the annual BRTA Pizza Party.

Ciao,

Ed
