Conservation, Cleanup, iNaturalist and Picnic

Details
Join us for a rewarding day of conservation and community at Longleaf Pine Preserve, 720 Old Sawmill Road, DeLand, on Saturday, September 13, starting at 9:00 a.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m.! We'll be working together at and near the campsite area (Green Trail), and signs will be provided for direction. We will be helping with garbage collection and protecting this beautiful preserve from invasive plants. Michael Kirchner, FMNP board member and iNaturalist expert, will guide us through hands-on learning with iNaturalist, making plant identification both fun and educational. After our morning conservation work, we'll celebrate our efforts with a cozy fire where we can cook, share stories, and relax together. There will be a porta-potty available. Please bring your favorite foods and drinks (non-alcoholic) to enjoy and/or share—we'll have coolers ready to keep everything fresh. Please note the address of the entrance we will use, which leads to the campground.
