🏐 Looking to improve your volleyball skills, or just play in a supportive environment? Join our Open Gym for intermediate players! 💬 Good vibes and great volleyball.
6.30 is meet and greet, we will start as soon as gym becomes available . Please do not to enter gym until 7 if gym is occupied.
→ Expected to know fundamentals like passing, serving, hitting, and court movement
→ Build confidence, connect with others, and grow your game
→ Friendly pick-up games in a safe, inclusive space
Note: Please take a moment to review the Skill Level Guide below—it’ll help you choose the open gym session that’s right for you. The level for this event will be Low Intermediate and above
We are starting with meetup RSVP and payment. Once event picks up we will look at adding season pass**.** We are non profit and plan to use your payment will be used against supplies, meetup fees, host charges and program growth**.**
You will receive location and details on payment. Please message host if you do not get location information.
We form Teams of 6. If we have more than 6 players we will rotate/sub in as needed. Maximum is seven to each side with one person rotating.
We will only have one court. Depending on the popularity we may add more days/location and split event by level. Please let us know if you will be willing to help host.

This Skill Level Guide isn’t a universal standard — below if based on another event post, and what’s commonly seen across the volleyball community. It’s meant to help us set expectations and create balanced teams, but it’s not perfect. If you feel a rating is off or have suggestions to improve it, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are always open to feedback and refining it together.
🟢 Beginner (B)
New to volleyball; little to no understanding of rules or positioning
Still learning basic skills: passing, serving, movement
Cannot consistently serve, pass, or keep the ball in play
Not yet ready for structured rallies or 3-touch sequences
🟡 Beginner-Plus (B+)
Basic understanding of rules and court positions
Can serve and pass with some consistency
Starting to attempt bump-set-spike sequences
Still developing movement and awareness during play
Some playing experience
🔵 Low Intermediate (L)
Can serve, pass, and hit with moderate consistency
Understands basic rotations and positioning
Can participate in rallies and execute 3-touch plays reliably
May still be refining footwork, timing, and court awareness
May have experience in recreational play
🟠 Intermediate (I)
Consistent in serving, passing, setting, and hitting
Understands and applies offensive systems (e.g., 5-1, 6-2)
Moves well with the flow of the game and communicates effectively
Can dig and block with reasonable timing and technique
May have experience in mid-level recreational play
🔴 High Intermediate (H)
Strong consistency and control across all skills
Reads plays, anticipates opponent moves, and adjusts positioning
Executes offensive and defensive strategies with confidence
May have experience in competitive leagues or high-level recreational play
⚫ Advanced (A)
High-level consistency, precision, and control across all skills
Reads and reacts to plays instinctively; anticipates multiple options
Executes complex offensive and defensive systems with fluidity
Demonstrates leadership, court awareness, and strategic decision-making
Likely has experience in competitive high school (D1/D2), club, collegiate, or elite-level play
