Friendship, drawn
Details
Friendship can be hard to put into words sometimes. So for this gathering, we’ll try something a little different.
We’ll use drawing as a simple, low-pressure way to explore our friendships. No art skills needed. This isn’t about drawing well, just about expressing something in a different way.
I’ll share a few prompts to get us started. You can pick one, try a few, or just sit with what comes up. We’ll take pauses along the way for anyone who’d like to share what they drew or the story behind it.
A simple flow for the evening:
We’ll begin with brief introductions, move into a short drawing round, share if you’d like, and then continue with another round before opening it up for conversation.
What to expect:
A small group, a relaxed and thoughtful atmosphere, and a slightly more playful way of connecting.
What to bring:
Please bring your own drawing supplies. A pen and paper is more than enough, but if you’d like to bring additional stationery, feel free.
We’ll be meeting at Cafe Hagen in Bellevue. There's two options for the parking 1) they validate for one hour in their building's parking garage 2) a block away there's a paid parking lot (pay by phone) on NE corner of 106th Ave NE and 8th St NE.
If you’re able, consider supporting the café by purchasing a drink or snack.
I’ll arrive a little early and grab a spot for the group so we’re easy to find.
If you’re curious to explore friendship in a different way, you’ll likely feel at home here.
