Welcome to the group! I plan and organize outings across the city geared towards young people who are new to Chicago. This is my favorite city and I want it to become yours too.
There's a lack of groups designed specifically for introducing young new arrivals to the city and that's what I hope to create here. This is my outside of work hobby and I organize these as a side project. Get out of the apartment and get familiar or re-acquainted with the City of Big Shoulders!

For those who've lived here a bit or long term, Recent but-no-longer-new as well as Long-timers are also welcome. 20s-30s. Just be prepared to share your experiences in the city plus your favorite things and activities. Off-putting and rude behaviour will earn you a ban though. The goal is to create a great no pressure, no hassles atmosphere so everyone can make some connections and branch.

All events are free or near free and I try not to post arbitrary attendance caps. Room can always be made to accommodate. All events are CTA accessible unless otherwise states. Group is focused on meeting 20s - 30s and reasonably close. Connecting friendships beyond just Meets is very encouraged! Please feel free to exchange info with anybody you click with. You can also post your contact info on the board and notify people in the group of other non-MM ideas, hangouts, and invitations.
