Charge Pond Loop
Details
We will meet at the closed gate at the entrance to Camp Cachalot and follow the Charge Pond Loop, which is a 5 mile loop trail that circles all the Charge Pond campgrounds.
The Ten Year Pine Barrens Restoration project has "treated" a lot of the area near this loop. It is a good time to inspect the status of the areas around Charge Pond that have been treated over the last five years.
This hike will probably take about 2 1/2 hours (so packing a bottle of water, and snacks is a great idea.)
