East Head Reservoir and Bentley Loop side traiIs
Details
The hike will include walking around all of the East Head Trail and several side trails off the Bentley Loop, Come experience the forest as it emerges into spring. Much of the hike will be in sheltered areas and pass through groves of large white pines and a few kettle ponds and bogs. We will also pass by Three Cornered and New Long Ponds.
The hike will be in the 4.5-5 mile range with a moderate pace and we will stop at points of interest.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. Bring along water and trail snack.
Meet at Myles Standish State Forest Headquarters parking lot,194 Cranberry Road in Carver.
