The Peregrines are community of friends (mostly in our 20's and 30's) who travel to important natural areas across northeastern Illinois, making an impact through targeted ecological restoration work. We’re musicians, lawyers, parents, birders, students, nurses, tech workers, and a great deal more, brought together by a passion for our natural ecosystems. We call ourselves “The Peregrines” (from the word for “pilgrims,” or “wanderers”) because we move around.
We travel to a different site each weekend, so pay attention to the event's location! The group is primarily NOT on Meetup so while you may see only the host attending, most workdays will have 7-15 people in attendance.
Join our email list to get updates about where we're headed each week :-)
