This is a group suggested for people 30+ yrs., who find that they'd love to enjoy a *variety* of activities with others; meeting great new friends all at the same time!
In-person events occur in Burlington (live bands, Mahjong, dinners, pickleball, Sound Of Music and Ribfest festivals, movie nights, cottage games), Oakville (bingo, hikes), Waterdown (Streetsfest and ribfest), Niagara Falls (shows at Fallsview, weekend getaways), and Toronto (Blue Jays)!
We also have a host of favourite ONLINE games now (that members wanted kept after COVID!!).
We continue to be part of fundraising efforts - to date we've raised over $10,000 to the following organizations - Food4Kids, Phoenix Place, SAVIS of Halton, Carpenters' Hospice, Halton Women's Place, Humane Society, CNIB, Crisis Services of Canada, and St. John's Therapy Dogs.
Monies collected from members STAY within the group - going to pay for venue fees, supplies/costs, Meetup website fees, online licenses, charities (for some events listed as such), and BACK TO YOU the members as "perks" (holiday treats, lowering the cost of events, hosting the anniversary event, etc.)!
