Join us for one of the most scenic hikes on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, where breathtaking coastal views await around every corner!
Our adventure begins at Malaga Cove Plaza, where we'll make our way uphill to a spectacular 360-degree panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Palos Verdes Peninsula, the Pacific Ocean, Santa Monica Bay, and the Los Angeles coastline. The climb includes a few sections with elevation, but the pace will be relaxed with opportunities to pause and enjoy the scenery.
From the summit, we'll continue through a beautiful grassy valley, surrounded by rolling hills and coastal landscapes before making our way along the dramatic ocean cliffs. We'll then descend to explore the fascinating tide pools, where you'll have the chance to experience one of the peninsula's hidden coastal gems up close.
This route offers an incredible variety of scenery—from panoramic vistas and peaceful meadows to rugged cliffs and the shoreline. It's truly a must-see hike for anyone who loves nature, photography, and the beauty of Southern California.
After our hike, we'll gather for lunch together, giving everyone a chance to relax, socialize, and share stories from the adventure.

- 👟 Comfortable hiking or athletic shoes with good traction

- 🍎 Light snacks or energy bars
Optional:
- 📷 Camera or smartphone for photos
- 🥾 Hiking poles (if you prefer extra stability on hills)
- 🌬️ A light jacket, as it can be cooler near the ocean

The address provided will take you to Malaga Cove Plaza.
We will meet at the water fountain located in the plaza.
Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can check everyone in and start our adventure on time.

Will you be joining us for lunch after the hike? Please RSVP yes or no when you sign up so I can provide the restaurant with an accurate headcount.
3. No Dogs 🐕
For the comfort and safety of all participants, dogs are not permitted at this event. Some members have allergies, are afraid of dogs, or simply prefer a pet-free experience. Thank you for your understanding.
4. Adults Only (18+)
This event is for adults only. Minors are not permitted due to liability considerations for both the event host and the Meetup group.
