Many of us are starting off 2026 with personal goals we would like to achieve in the New Year. Maybe you want to grow through self-improvement, break a bad habit, or get better at how you respond to stressors. No matter what your personal goal is, sustained change is easier when we understand and utilize self-control techniques.

Join us January 10 at the Plano Carpenter Recreation Center (room 3) for our first of 26 Life Skills Courses. To help you start the new year off intentionally, our topic will be "Cultivating Self-Control and Discipline". During this hour-long reflective learning event, we will talk about how to identify personal barriers to self-control and discuss potential tools to support yourself in increasing self-discipline. You will also get the opportunity to share what works for you and learn from the experiences of others. By the end of the session, we hope that you will feel empowered to better address your own habits and develop your own actionable, deliberate approach to life.

Please register in advance on Plano's website by clicking here.
Sessions cost $5. This money does not go to The Reflective Human. It is a fee added by the Plano Recreation Center.
