We are proud to present the first From Fat to Finish Line Convention - 2018 Las Vegas!
Join us for two days loaded with panels, training sessions, in-depth workshops, and exclusive insights from experts in the health & fitness industry.
So what can you expect in those two days?
The FFTFL Convention launches on Friday with thought-provoking and interesting workshops lead by our FFTFL members and coaches. Saturday will include a continental breakfast, keynote speaker and weight loss coach Corinne Crabtree, and concludes with a Panel discussion with the stars of the From Fat to Finish Line documentary (available on iTunes, Amazon Prime etc.) and Dr. Ken Foxman, psychologist and mental health professional.

Finding Success and Joy in Journaling with Lorrie “Hellcat” Bamford
We’ve all heard that journaling can be the secret to success when it comes to reaching our goals. But many of us have had a hard time getting one started or keeping one going. Expert journaler, Lorrie Bamford will share her tips and secrets for journaling. Multiple sessions available.
How to Mentor Others with Nora Breuker
No matter where you are in your own journey did you know that your support and mentorship to someone else can make a tremendous impact on both their and your success? Join Nora Breuker, FFTFL Community Manager, in learning the ins and outs of becoming a good mentor. Multiple sessions available.
Up-Close and Personal with Coach Rik Akey
Have running questions? This is your chance to sit down and get your questions answered by our head coach. This session will be held “speed-dating” style where you will get to talk to Coach Rik one-on-one for a limited time.*limited seating – must schedule your appointment ahead of time.
Yoga For Runners with Cynthia Akey
In this 30 minute session, FFTFL COO and certified yoga instructor, Cynthia Akey, will use the first 15 minutes to explain the benefits of practicing yoga for runners and answering your questions. The last 15 minutes, Cynthia will demonstrate and guide you through some basic yoga postures that you can incorporate into your stretching routine. Multiple sessions available.
Triathlon CoachesTry a Tri with Angela Lee and Noah Lam
If you’re thinking about dipping your toe into triathlon make sure to find some time to chat with USAT certified Level 1 Triathlon Coach and FFTFL CEO Angela Lee. She can give you insight on what to expect as a newbie! Ready to take your triathlon experience to the next level? Chat with Angela Lee’s USAT Certified Level I Coach Noah Lam who is one of our FFTFL coaches and can help you with your future goals in the sport.
SATURDAY SESSIONS
Shake Run with Coach Rik Akey
Join Coach Rik Akey and your fellow tribe members to run between 1 and 2 miles on the world famous Las Vegas strip. Coach Rik will especially accompany those members running their first miles! Walkers feel free to join. Walking will be lead by FFTFL COO Cynthia Akey.
Saturday Breakfast Social
Meet and mingle with your fellow tribe members over a healthy continental breakfast.
KEYNOTE: Reach Your Weight Loss Goals with Corinne Crabtree
Weight-loss coach Corinne Crabtree successfully lost over 100 pounds more than 10 years ago. She has since gone on to host her very popular and inspiring podcast “Phit-n-Phat” and coaches women across the country towards their health goals.

PANEL DISCUSSION: The Struggle is Real
Join Dr. Ken Foxman, Ph.D. and the starts of the FFTFL documentary Angela Lee, Jennifer Roe, Allison Dederer Romano, and Rik Akey to discuss the up and downs that many of us face on the way to achieving goals and maintaining fitness. From physical injuries to emotional setbacks, the struggle is real to keep sight of the finish line. This frank discussion will address many of the obstacles we all have encountered and might encounter on our fitness journeys.
