Ride: Centennial Cone
Details
Meet: Centennial Cone West Trailhead
Time: Sunday (Aug 16) -- Ride starts at 8:00a
Difficulty: Intermediate
(Some uneven terrain with rocks, roots, etc. on the trail. Some trail sections may be steeper, and somewhat technical.)
One of the best intermediate rides on the front range. Purpose-built for mountain-biking, its a near-backcountry experience less than an hour from Denver. Lots of long and fast downhill, with the requisite uphill climbs. Approx 12 miles length (skipping the Mayhem Gulch bypass).
The weather should be pleasant for an AM ride, but be sure to bring appropriate rain gear!
IMPORTANT
It's your responsibility to ride safely within the limits of your own skillset and experience on the trail and on your bike. Showing up to a group ride indicates your implicit and explicit understanding and acceptance of the risks inherent to mountain biking.
