Join the Front Range Intermediate Hiking Group for a picturesque adventure at Mount Falcon Park in Jefferson County Open Space. We'll start in the picturesque town of Morrison with a brisk climb. Then the trail flattens for a long leisurely stroll. We will visit the proposed site for The Summer White House (proposed in 1911) and "The Castle" (Walker Mansion Ruins) before returning to Morrison for lunch at any one of it's fine eateries. Bring your furry friends along (on leash) to enjoy a refreshing outdoor experience together. Whether you are seeking a challenging hike or a leisurely stroll, this event offers something for everyone.
The Details:
The hike is 7.4 miles with 1745 feet of gain and will take about 4 hours according to AllTrails.
What to Bring: water, snacks, sunscreen, raincoat, sturdy shoes, hat, sunglasses, downloaded trail map, and whatever else you need to be comfortable. Trekking poles my help on the fist leg.
