Carpenter Peak and Powerline Trail at Roxborough State Park
Details
Let's do a moderate hike this Saturday at Roxborough State Park. The picture above is the view from Carpenter Peak.
Description from Alltrails:
Check out this 7.9-mile loop trail near Littleton, Colorado. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 45 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, running, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through November. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.
There is an entrance fee to the State Park unless you have a State Park Pass. We can arrange car pools (even though this hike is close to town) so everyone can ride with someone that has a pass. Leave a comment if you want to carpool.
What to Bring: water, snacks, sturdy shoes/boots, raincoat, layered clothing, microspikes, hat, gloves, sunscreen. Treking poles are optional.
Safety Disclaimer: Hiking is risky. By signing up for this hike, you agree that you are solely responsible for your own safety.
I usually go to Waterton Tavern for lunch after this hike. If anyone knows a new place, let me know.
