Little Scraggy Trail loop — Pike National Forest
Details
Little Scraggy Peak Loop is a longer hike (12.1 miles) with moderate elevation gain (1225 ft according to Komoot or 1601 ft according to Alltrails - let's go see which one is correct). Hiking time will be about about 5.5 hours. Here is the Alltrails description:
This is an outstanding trail in Pike National Forest. The trail combines dirt and rocky paths and features some challenging inclines. It meanders through woodlands and meadows, offering a blend of shaded and open sections. The views along the Little Scraggly Peak Loop are magnificent, with vistas of Pikes Peak and the surrounding wilderness. Parking and bathrooms are available at the trailhead.

Weather: I'll post weather updates a few days before the hike. I will not cancel this hike except for extreem weather conditions.
Trail Conditions: We may shorten the hike if we encounter long stretches of postholing.
Safety: Hiking can be hazardous and you are solely responsible for your own safety. I am not a trained outdoor guide. I am just the hike organizer.
Sign Up: If the hike isn't full and you find yourself on the wait list, not to worry. I'll move you to the going list based on your attendance record. If you have frequent no-shows, you will have lower priority.
Carpooling: We will gather at The Fort Restaurant in Morrison for carpooling at 7:35 am and will leave by 7:40 am. This will put us at the trailhead at 8:25 am for our 8:30 start.
I still have never been to The Bucksnort Saloon. I'd like to give it a try after the hike.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone! - Dwight
