Let us contribute to a sustainable web by Csaba Varszegi
According to some, ‘the internet is the single biggest thing that we are building as a species’. It is also a big part of our future, it determines how we create, communicate, work together, consume and spend our free time. We need to get it right, not only technically, but also socially and environmentally. Let us contribute to do that.

About Csaba
Csaba is a minimalist web designer at LittleBigThings. He loves to create little things on the web and contribute a little to the web. He blogs about the web and its carbon footprint sometimes, or about the most used content management system. He contributes to WordPress as well, mostly to the recently formed Sustainability team.

Performant scroll animations by Thomas Verleye
We all remember the time we did made use of some javascript library to animate a page on scroll. We experienced the struggle of “jank”, or even worse made the website crash. With the brand new scroll & view-timeline feature of Chrome this is a step into a new era for Front-end developers. Thomas will enlighten us in his experiment of refactoring the itsme® navigation animation with the new view-timeline API.

About Thomas
Thomas is head of front-end at Craftzing, where he facilitates knowledge sharing over the front-end team of the company. Together with a whole team he is developing all things web-related for itsme®.
