Frontend Meetup April

Details

This is an English speaking event 🇬🇧 // Angol nyelvű esemény 🇬🇧

We're back with our first meetup in April with a couple of interesting topics around AI and the latest features of Next.js.

Thank you Betsson Group for supporting us this month with the venue,
drinks and some snacks!

Our schedule for April:

🤖 Using AI in our day-to-day workflows
by Dániel Majoross (Betsson)

The internet has exploded cause of chatGPT and other AI driven apps. Many videos, blogs came out stating, it is taking our jobs, and that it creates applications and websites if you ask it. Let's see if it is true. Can we programmers use AI to our advantage, is it reliable? Are there any tools, extensions that could help our daily coding workflow?

⚡️ When Lightning-Fast Web Development is Not Optional
by Rostislav Dascal

Join me as we explore the powerful capabilities of NextJS 13. We’ll dive into its optimised server-side rendering and caching capabilities, and hopefully inspire you to apply these concepts to your own projects – if you’re not planning on using NextJS directly. So come on down and let’s explore the power of NextJS together, and take your web development skills to the next level!

⚙️ Exploring Code-Based Data Producers and Consumers While Breaking Down Related Concepts
by Adam Lengyel

In many ways, writing code used to be simpler. We had simple tools and complex solutions. Over the years, this ratio has shifted. Our tools got richer, it got easier to solve specific tasks, but also accidental complexity, leaky abstractions, and concepts that sound simple, but are actually hard to digest all entered the room as new players. We'll explore what we have today (by going through JavaScript's Runtime Architecture), why is it important to understand all the details, and where we could do possibly better (for example CPU-bound tasks and data processing) using JS constructs we already have (e.g., async iterators) but underuse.
