Become part of the Volunteer Earthworks Corp and join our team, the "Creepy Crawley Coalition!"

"Creeps" works with NPS staff twice a month to remove invasive trees and shrubs threatening our park's historic earthworks.

Meeting Details:

  • Location: South Lee Drive: Meet at the trailhead for the Bernard’s Cabin trail.

What to Wear:

  • Long-sleeved shirt
  • Pants
  • Hat

What to Expect:

NPS staff will meet you at the site and walk you through the area. We’ll identify some earthworks for preservation and give a short demonstration on safely removing woody vegetation and applying herbicide using a dauber bottle.

We’ll provide all the necessary supplies, including:

  • Gloves
  • Tools
  • Safety goggles
  • Pesticide

Please come dressed for the field:

  • Long-sleeved shirt
  • Pants
  • Hat
