This event will convene key urban planning actors to explore the main processes and tools that shape planning governance during wartime. Our distinguished speakers will discuss the challenges faced by different stakeholders, as well as the opportunities that emerge from navigating complex rebuilding scenarios over time.

Since 2023, this series has aimed to raise awareness about the vital role of urban planning in Ukraine’s recovery. In this session, we will focus on how well-designed, strategic approaches in development aid efforts in the context of planning are essential for effective reconstruction and long-term resilience.

Target audience:

  • Urban planners, architects, and civil society representatives from Ukraine and Norway involved in reconstruction efforts
  • Public agencies interested in cross-sectoral and territorial strategies for urban development in Ukraine

Join us either in Oslo or online to gain insightful perspectives and contribute to shaping resilient, inclusive urban futures. This event is part of a series supported by the City of Oslo’s International Office on reconstruction and ‘building back better’ in Ukraine.
