4th of July Catered Potluck Picnic & Fireworks Show at Almansor Park (Alhambra)

FYI. Everyone is expected to contribute $20 per person. Kids eat free.

Let’s celebrate this upcoming 4th of July in a safe, welcoming setting—right at the beautiful Almansor Park in Alhambra!

Join me for a fun-filled day of great company and positive energy.

We’ll be doing a catered potluck picnic, where everyone is expected to contribute a flat $20 per person to attend.

This will help cover ready to eat food & drinks, party supplies, and other essentials.

Please RSVP asap as the group size and space may be limited.

To confirm your RSVP, please make a $20 contribution (to help cover food & drinks and avoid last-minute cancellations—no flakes, please!).

Important Update: We’re moving this event to Almansor Park, where there are no wristband fees and no extra parking costs. This helps everyone save money and allows us to provide catered, ready-to-eat food that will be available right at the start of the event.

This change ensures all the food is set up at the same time, avoiding delays, no-shows, or missing potluck contributions. Everyone will have plenty of food options from the beginning, creating a smoother and more enjoyable experience for all.

To join the event, please add yourself to the waitlist first. Then, submit the non-refundable $20 contribution, and I’ll move you to the “Going” list.

Everyone will start on the waitlist—this is intentional and not a glitch. The event is not full. This system ensures that only those who are committed and have submitted payment are confirmed for the event.

This system helps us avoid last-minute cancellations and no-shows while giving us a more accurate headcount and budget for catering.
Here's the plan:

We’ll have a wide variety of shareable dishes and party platters ready at the start of the event, including but not limited to:

• Pizza (cheese, mushroom, pepperoni, and combo or meat lovers)
• Fried chicken
• Potato wedges
• Mashed potatoes
• Sandwiches and/or turkey wraps
• Chicken wings and/or tenders
• Chow mein, fried rice + Chinese entrees
• Egg rolls
• Vietnamese appetizers (i.e. spring rolls)
• Shrimp cocktail
• Potato salad
• Macaroni salad
• Fruit and veggie platters
• Vegetarian options
• Salads
• And more fruits, sides, and snacks

Also considering Hawaiian, Italian, and Mediterranean depending on the final budget.

This ensures that everyone can enjoy plenty of delicious food from the beginning, without having to wait for dishes to arrive.
