'We’re Back, in-person.'
Welcome to FuckUp Nights Melbourne!
Our last IRL event was in November 2019, so here we are with our grand return!

Tickets here: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/fuckupnightsmelbourne/686543

This storytelling event showcases speakers with stories of failure, in whatever context they choose - personal, business, projects etc.

They talk about the wisdom and resilience gained from such experiences, in front of thousands of people over the years.

FuckUp Nights is a global movement born in Mexico in 2012 to share public business failure stories with hundreds of people attending each event around the world.

Each month speakers will be invited to talk about their FuckUp stories; we’ll learn about their biggest mistakes, what they learned, how they moved on- all whilst sharing invaluable advice along the way.

The speakers will candidly share in 7-10 minutes:
* What their project / business was
* What went wrong / How it affected their personal life / What they learned / What they would do differently.

Speaker 1: Dan Remy, Lucid Planet
Dan is an entrepreneur in Melbourne. In the past he has co-founded, operated and sold businesses, one of them was owning a nightclub at the age of 21. His most recent venture was launching an NFT collection called 'The Lucid Planet' which sold out in under 4 mins.

Speaker 2: Emeli Paulo, Collective Potential

Emeli Paulo (she/her) is a five-time social entrepreneur and Co-Founder of School for Social Change.

With two decades of facilitation and 15,000 Learning & Development workshop experiences, she has worked with over one million people globally, and spent time with Oprah Winfrey and His Holiness Dalai Lama.

Emeli is also the Founder of Neuro Care; a Diversity Equity & Inclusion program that teaches emotional agility to VC’s & startups to become aware of, and present with trauma & bias (in the self and others).

This unsaid bias, dangerously lowers productivity in product teams & dictates the unsurprising 0.03% funding allocation to WOC start up founders in Australia.

Emeli’s mission is to continue to empower people to speak their truth, build socially inclusive workplaces & connected communities.

At the end of each story, we have a bit of Q&A time where you’ll have a chance to ask questions- nothing too cheeky, but feel free to dig around.
You’ll hear stories and advice you won’t get elsewhere - and these stories will (hopefully) put you in good stead to not make the same fuckups.

Our hosts this month are the incredible Reach Foundation, a youth not-for-profit organisation connecting young people to create a sense of social belonging, have breakthrough conversations and build emotional resilience/ courage.
