Fujiyoshida City Hataorimachi Festival

Hataorimachi Festival will be held in Fujiyoshida City on October 19 Saturday and 20 Sunday. (Hataorimach means "textile town".)
We'll meet on 20th Sunday to visit the festival.

Fujiyoshida, the city closest to World Heritage site Mount Fuji, has a long history as a textile producer. Although the industry diminished in recent decades, weavers and local authorities have started working hand in hand to highlight the industry’s traditions and high-quality output.

We will meet at Shimoyoshida Station on Fujikyu Line at 11:00am and visit the festival together. There will be textile shops along the main street of Fujiyoshida City.
Two of our members live in this city and know a lot about the city and festival.
We are planning to have lunch or tea/coffee together if participants would like to sit and chat.
