Observe an English language debating tournament in 北九州市

Hello. Sorry I have been away for a long time.

I am now back and have an announcement.

THis is not really a regular meetup, but more of an announcement of a separate debating event held by my colleagues. They have kindly said we can watch.

A local English language parliamentary debating tournament will be held in Kitakyushu on the 23rd.

THis is a rare chance to see some local Japanese university debaters debating in English. By local, I mean Kyushu and Kitakyushu students, although I believe some Beppu debaters may also come (perhaps from overseas!)

Since this event is not my event, I am not in charge, but I think the Fukuoka debaters may be interested in such a debating tournament, even if it takes place outside Fukuoka City. Fortunately, Kitakyushu is not far!

If people sign up for this "meetup", I will give you directions, as needed, but again, since this is not my event, I think we shall all be somewhat independent.

If you guys do come, I can teach you the rules, and hopefully met you there!

I may be asked to judge there, but if I am not asked, and one of you really wants to, maybe we can make a team, if the hosts allow it, but the host would need to contact you first, so let me know if you are interested!
