Ember.js - Feb FSTO Meetup

About Talk 1:

In this talk, we will look at the benefits and drawbacks of using Ember as a framework for front-end applications. We will cover some important considerations when choosing a framework, and we will create a sample Ember app from scratch.

In an environment rife with framework fatigue, this talk doesn't intend to evangelize, but to provide information and tools. Developers from all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome.

About the Jasna

Jasna is a full-stack developer at InteraXon, makers of Muse (http://choosemuse.com): the brain sensing headband.

In her 10 years of development experience Jasna has worked all along the stack, from server maintenance and sysadmining, to distributed systems, to standalone front-end applications, to finnicky CSS for legacy systems (damn you, IE 7!). In her spare time she has worked as a mentor at Lighthouse Labs and volunteered for Ladies Learning Code.

She is also an admin for TechMasters (http://techmaster.chat), an online community of 2000+ tech professionals, and is an avid twitter user (http://www.twitter.com/jasnatod).
