Full Moon Hike at Kennesaw Mountain

This Blue Moon will be in the fiery and expansive sign of Sagittarius, thanks to its influence by Daddy Jupiter. It welcomes us to look at things from a higher perspective - perhaps atop a mountain by the name of Kennesaw?

We will be meeting at the Welcome Center at 7AM. Hike begins at 7:15AM. Please be on time, we will not wait but you are welcome to catch up with us.

Kennesaw Mountain is considered a moderate hike. It is a 2.3 mile out and back trail with a 662 foot elevation. It WILL get your heart pumping and you will feel that fire-hot Sag energy. Depending on pace, it generally takes 30-60 minutes to summit. We will take breaks as needed.

Given the week's storms, the trail may be muddy in spots. It may also cool down, so dress in layers. In may be windy at the top.

The Welcome Center parking lot opens at 6:30 AM and there is a $5 parking fee unless you have an annual Kennesaw Battlefield pass or America the Beautiful. If you do not wish to pay the fee, please reach out to me and we can carpool from the Racetrac down the road.

In the case the lot is full, there is overflow parking down the road but it would add an additional 5-10 minute walk to the Welcome Center. If this happens, please give me a call so we can wait for you.

While fire sure is fun, bring enough water to stay hydrated. Wear proper shoes, and clothing for whatever nature brings.
