Climathon Cluj-Napoca 2019

Fullstack Cluj & Cluj4Earth are joining forces to facilitate climate change solutions in Cluj-Napoca by organizing a Climathon.

Climathon is a global year-round programme initiated by EIT Climate-KIC, to mobilize cities and citizens to take climate action, together.

Climathon brings together activists, innovators, programmers, designers and professionals to develop sustainable solutions. They will work side by side to create tools that our local climate issues.

Challenges:

1. Creating tools for increasing awareness on climate issues;
2. Creating tools that connect and unify climate initiatives across co-interested parties (citizens, corporate, public administration)

The most important aim of Climathon Cluj-Napoca is to bring together the tech community, organizations, and city representatives.

Within 5 years, Climathon’s grassroots-led movement has grown from 19 cities in 16 countries to events in over 100 cities travelling well beyond Europe to Sri Lanka, Sudan, The Philippines, Honduras and Pakistan.
