TALKS
I didn’t know the browser could do that! by Sam Bellen (https://twitter.com/sambego)
The times when a browser simply had to parse and show some markup are long gone. These days they are full of interesting api’s exposing various information and behaviour to web developers. This talk will walk you through a few of these api’s, some of which you might know, some maybe not. I will show a quick example of what some of these api’s can do, and how to use them.
Speaker: Sam is a front-end software engineer from Belgium with a special interest for the the web-audio-api and other exotic browser API’s.
Length: 30min
How to actually get software built by Andreas Creten (https://twitter.com/andreascreten)
During my years as a developer and entrepreneur I have seen a lot of clients and other stakeholders struggle with getting from idea to working software.
This talk sheds a light on it from a developer' side of view, mainly for not so technical people. Expect real world use cases and some funny jokes.
Speaker: I am a software engineer and an entrepreneur who loves developing apps and building teams.
In 2008, me and my co-founder Jonas Van Schoote started madewithlove, an app development company where everybody speaks code, the management included. I also love pushing startups forward, either as a co-founder or CTO.
As a firm believer in data & knowledge sharing, you’ll regularly find me working on open-source projects and speaking at conferences.
Length: 60min
