TALKS
Add observability to any microservices environment by Glenn Versweyveld
What does it take to follow your customers website actions while they pass through your backend that consist of different technology stacks? We will focus on OpenTelemetry as middle man and use Grafana tooling to handle and visualise the logs and traces.
Speaker: Glenn Versweyveld is a developer with interest in everything surrounding Microsoft and .NET in particular, currently working as a Technical Business Analist at Reynaers Aluminium.
Still loves Windows Phone, but don't judge him for it :)
Length: 40min
Functions as a service and the future of edge computing by Hans Otto Wirtz
Everyone has heard about edge computing, but until recently it required a lot of setup for minimal speed gains. In this talk I talk about new technologies that make edge computing simple, like Cloudflare Workers, Deno Deploy, WebAssembly, how you can use it and I explain how we got to this point. I compare these technologies with AWS Lambda and microservices and give a small demo showing you how easy it is to start using Cloudflare Workers.
Speaker: Founder & CTO at BubblyDoo, passionate about web technologies and serverless.
Length: 30min
